Despite its benefits in enhancing communication and information access, social media significantly disrupts our ability to engage in deep, focused work. Its constant notifications and bite-sized content fragment our attention, making sustained concentration challenging. Recognizing this negative impact is essential for educators and students to develop strategies to mitigate distractions and prioritize uninterrupted study sessions.
Learning Outcomes

- Participants will gain insights into the manipulative design of social media and its ability to captivate students, leading to prolonged engagement with the platforms?(Hari, 2022).
- Participants will recognize how the convenience of social media consumes significant portions of students’ attention daily, thereby reducing the time available for deep, focused work?(Jha, 2021).
- Participants will explore strategies that can help students regain and sustain their focus for extended periods (Jha, 2021).
