Networking doesn’t have to be your worst nightmare. As academics, individuals have many opportunities to grow their networks, from conferences, departmental events, research presentations, and colloquiums. This in person networking is vital but limited. To expand further one must venture into the online world. This workshop will explore how early career researchers can convey the impact of their research while making meaningful connections to decision makers online.
Jordan Moore, ICD.D (She/Her) is a dynamic executive, board leader, and entrepreneur with extensive experience in governance, privacy, marketing, and business strategy. She currently serves as the Board Chair of Scouts Canada, bringing an external perspective to drive innovation and inclusion in one of Canada’s largest youth organizations. As Chief Privacy Officer for a national school photography and yearbook company, she leads strategic privacy and cybersecurity initiatives, ensuring compliance and trust in the education sector.
Jordan is the Founder and CEO of Riseilient Partners Inc., where she provides leadership and privacy consulting to organizations navigating complex business challenges. A passionate advocate for women in investing, she is a Limited Partner with Women’s Equity Lab Toronto, supporting early-stage startups through active investment and due diligence. She also lends her expertise as a Business Advisor to GeoSnapShot, a global media platform revolutionizing sports and event photography.
A sought-after speaker, Jordan has delivered numerous keynote presentations and panel discussions on leadership, resilience, privacy, and cybersecurity, equipping organizations and individuals with strategies to thrive in an evolving digital landscape.
With a career spanning leadership roles in marketing, communications, and governance, Jordan has built and scaled businesses while fostering strong professional networks. She believes in the power of strategic connections to accelerate career growth and will share insights at the EdCog Conference on how professionals can leverage networking to enhance their personal brands and unlock new opportunities.
